John Wilkes Brodnax papers, 1801-1844; 1881-1927 [manuscript].

The collection includes correspondence and other papers of Brodnax, chiefly concerning history and genealogy of the Brodnax and related families. Items include transcriptions of letters, 1801-1827, received by William H. Brodnax, Greensville County, Va., concerning national political issues, and William H. Brodnax's will, with codicils, 1828-1844. Five volumes contain genealogical data on the Brodnax and related families; one contains letters, 1881-1920, received by John Wilkes Brodnax concerning his professional activities, and personal and genealogical interests. A few items, 1902-1926, concern Brodnax's work at the Medical College of Virginia.
